Blackhawk Ice Center

Blackhawk Ice Center is more than just the official practice home of the Chicago Blackhawks—it is the premier community hub for hockey and ice sports of all levels. Welcoming over 440,000 visitors annually, Blackhawk Ice Center is part of the ongoing reimagination of the potential of hockey that the Blackhawks have embarked on, transforming the area and showcasing the Blackhawks commitment to both growing the game and improving the West Side.

The state-of-the-art facility offers beginner hockey programs, adult leagues, youth programming, public skate sessions, and elite-level tournaments, while also serving as a home for youth and high school hockey clubs. Beyond the ice, they host fundraising events, special programs, private events and community initiatives, making Blackhawk Ice Center a place where athletes, fans, families, and the community come together to celebrate.

Blackhawk Ice Center Expansion

The new expansion, opened in 2026, adding two brand-new ice rinks, bringing their total to four, including a state-of-the-art Championship Rink with seating for 2,000 fans and will be home to the USHL Chicago Steel starting with the 2026-27 season. Plus, they enhanced the experience with a new bar, expanded dining options, premium hospitality spaces, versatile event venues, and honoring the Chicago Blackhawks tradition with new fan experiences!
